We love shiso! So we tried out a few recepies with it. This is one of the outcomes, if you like the taste of shiso, you should definitely give this a go! The recipe is for one glass of pesto.
- 100g shiso leaves
- 50g pine nuts
- 50g walnuts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 lemon (its juice)
- 1 chopped clove of garlic
- pulse the pine and walnuts and chopped garlic in a food processor
- add shiso leaves, olive oil, salt and squeezed lemon juice and pulse it
- enjoy the pesto mixed with pasta and tomatoes or spread on bread!
